Baidyanath Tuvrak Taila
Tuvrak oil (also known as Tuvarak Taila or Chalmogra Tel) is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal oil derived from the seeds of the Hydnocarpus laurifolia (Chalmogra) tree.
Primary Uses
- Skin Infections & Conditions: Commonly used as a topical remedy for chronic skin ailments, including eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, scabies, and general scaly eruptions.
- Itching & Inflammation: Applied to soothe irritation, redness, and itching caused by skin rashes.
- Scalp & Hair Hygiene: Used in small amounts or diluted with a carrier oil (such as coconut oil) to support scalp health.
- Traditional Internal Use: Some Ayurvedic formulations recommend internal consumption (such as a few drops with water), though this should only be done under the direct supervision of a qualified physician, as oral intake can cause digestive upset like vomiting or loose motions.
